🇮🇷🇮🇱 The odds on Iran’s new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, attending his father’s funeral are staggeringly low, thanks to the fact that Israel would likely use it as an opportunity to finish him off.
Mohammad Eslami, a research fellow at the University of Tehran:
“Right now, there are lots of concerns regarding Israeli aggression toward Iran and also toward the new Supreme Leader.
What we know about the Israelis is that they do not respect any conduct of international law, and it publicly threatens to carry out operations in Iran.
The Israelis want to sabotage the interim deal between the Iranians and Americans, and I think this is not the moment for the new Supreme Leader to attend these kinds of ceremonies in public.”
Maybe the cardboard Khamenei will stand in for him again.
