The U.S. Navy just put another $17.1M toward a laser weapon strong enough to burn drones and missiles out of the sky, cheaper than firing million-dollar missiles. Completion now targeted for 2028.

President Trump has become more positive toward Ukrainian President Zelensky after being impressed by Ukraine’s recent battlefield successes, particularly its drone capabilities and resilience against Russia.
The improved relationship follows months of outreach by Zelensky and European leaders after their previously strained ties.
Trump, who once believed Ukraine would lose and criticized Zelensky, now views him as a stronger leader and has grown more skeptical of Vladimir Putin.
Trump has also shown interest in Ukraine’s defense technology, including drone production and Patriot missile cooperation.

🇦🇲🇪🇺 Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan suggested in a conversation with Putin that the country could hold a referendum on the country’s accession to the EU
Putin urged the Armenian leader to hold a referendum as soon as possible, effectively blackmailing him by violating the rules of the EAEU (Armenia is suffering economically from certain actions of Russia).
Pashinyan responded by saying that a referendum could take place, but only after the country officially applies for EU membership.

🇮🇷🇺🇦 Ukraine found Iran’s own chokepoint and put a drone through it
Iran has spent five months teaching the world you don’t need a navy to strangle a waterway, just enough menace to make crews refuse to sail.
Hormuz, then Bab el-Mandeb.
Denial at the narrow point is the whole doctrine.
Then Ukraine flew a thousand kilometers to the Caspian and hit the barges feeding Russia’s Shahed lines.
Moscow builds those drones under license and still needs Tehran’s shipments, because Iran handed over most of the blueprint while keeping back a few parts nobody else makes.
Leverage by design, and it travels through a narrow stretch of water.
Tehran’s response, that this cannot go unanswered, mostly advertises the trap.
Ukraine sits beyond its missiles, outside its blockades, untouchable by every method Iran spent the year perfecting.
