🇦🇿🇩🇪Azerbaijan protests Germany over a report published by Der Spiegel.
The protest was conveyed through diplomatic channels to both the German Chancellor’s Office and the German Foreign Ministry.
● Der Spiegel claimed that August Hanning, who headed Germany’s Federal Intelligence Service (BND) from 1998 to 2005, had spied for Azerbaijan and prepared classified reports for the Azerbaijani side.
● Azerbaijan’s Media and Broadcasting Council has also issued a statement saying that the report is false and that such reports are aimed at harming the developing Azerbaijan-Germany relations.
