❗️🇺🇦 General Drapatyi:
The army needs changes, but without justice, no changes will make sense for the people who are carrying this war on their shoulders every day.
Over the past six months, the army has had a partner in the Ministry of Defense, who not only provided for its needs, but also demanded changes in approaches, faster decision-making and support for those who are ready to take responsibility for them.
Today, the minister said that many of these decisions had to be made against the system, not because of its work.
I know that this is true, and I believe that this should not be the case. Many commanders can confirm this. When the right decision has to be made against the system, not because of it, it means that the system itself needs to change.
Silence on the part of a commander has never been a form of responsibility.
The transformation of the defense forces cannot end with the change of a minister, a command or a head of a separate direction. It must continue until fair and understandable rules become the norm for everyone who serves the state.
We are fighting for a country in which justice does not depend on surname, position or proximity to the leadership. The army that defends this country today should be the first place where such a principle really works.
I thank everyone who defends these principles today.
