RT by @mikenov: RT by @mikenov: 🛢️ The Gulf’s pipeline escape routes are far smaller than they appear. Al Jazeera estimates the Hormuz disruption has removed more than 14 million barrels per day from regional production, costing over $15 billion in the war’s opening weeks. Saudi Arabia and the UAE can redirect some crude through Yanbu and Fujairah, but the EIA puts their combined bypass capacity at roughly 4.7 million bpd. Iraq, Kuwait and Qatar have virtually no alternative export route. The result: more than 70% of Gulf oil remains trapped behind a single maritime chokepoint. Hormuz is not merely a shipping lane. It is the region’s economic pressure valve.
