🇺🇸 🇮🇷 The Pentagon is racing to triple interceptor production as this war proves air defense gets won on a factory floor
Look at the targets.
PAC-3 output going from roughly 600 a year to 2,000. THAAD quadrupling from 96 to 400.
Northrop just signed $3 BILLION in seven-year deals, and the Pentagon has cut about a dozen similar agreements since January.
Now the detail that should bother you.
Until this month, L3Harris was the ONLY company producing solid rocket motors for the PAC-3.
One supplier, for the interceptor keeping American bases alive across two theaters at once.
Reporting this week puts roughly 80 percent of the stockpile for a key defense system already spent.
So modern air defense comes down to a motor plant in West Virginia and an assembly line in Camden, Arkansas, and whether they can outrun a country building drones for pocket change.
