🇩🇪🇷🇺 Berlin is reportedly preparing to formally blame Moscow for the August drone attack at Leipzig/Halle Airport, and this time Germany doesn’t want to stop at another strongly worded statement.
Officials are calling the coming shift “Zeitenwende 2.0,” essentially a second major turning point in Germany’s Russia policy, aimed at ending Berlin’s previous restraint in responding to suspected Russian hybrid attacks.
The response is expected to combine tougher German measures, increased support for Ukraine and a major new EU sanctions package, with around 1,600 individuals and companies reportedly being reviewed for possible sanctions.
Because obviously the previous 21 EU sanctions packages have worked so well
