❗️🇳🇴 RUSSIA THREATENS TARGETS IN NORWAY
Russia has identified sites in Norway that could become targets in the event of a military conflict, Reuters reports, citing the Russian Foreign Ministry.
Moscow is furious over the deployment of a U.S. missile system based on Mk-41 launchers, which are capable of firing various missiles, including Tomahawk cruise missiles. Russia claims missiles launched from Norway could reach a significant part of European Russia — including Moscow.
The Russian Foreign Ministry warned that the deployment sites, command-and-control centers and supporting infrastructure would receive “particular attention” from Russia’s strategic deterrence forces and could become targets in an armed conflict.
The Kremlin is also alarmed by Norway’s military buildup in the Arctic, including the expansion of the Finnmark Brigade with an artillery battalion and plans to deploy new long-range rocket systems by 2030.
Norway shares a border with Russia — and Moscow clearly does not like what is now appearing on the other side of it.
