Because Trump administration still doesn’t understand or care about the origin of the conflict.

All they want is to get credit for stopping it.

They want Russia to get what it wants, and then let’s get on with business. That’s their entire approach.

Of course, with that level of understanding and thinking, Ukrainians will never accept that.

It was brilliant that Zelenskyy invited British, German, and French participation so that they could all see this nonsense firsthand.

And so Trump administration has never had real leverage over Ukraine anyway.

I think Ukrainians played along as far as they could in hopes that there would be a restart of Patriot.

But I think now that’s not going to happen, and so there’s nothing cheerful to report at this point.
