Ben Laden did not know the 9/11 plans and date, at his own admission; but Putin knew, and warned Bush about it two days in advance. What does it tell us? Were the 9/11 origins ascribed to Ben Laden post factum, were they “hung” on him? Later, Putin tried to use the “war on terrorism” for his own purposes; to fight the Chechen separatism.
