Important work lies ahead in Ankara. We expect a strong and productive NATO Summit. Decisions are needed now that will provide greater protection for our people, more capabilities for our defense, and even stronger security cooperation between Ukraine, Europe, and the United States.
The NATO Summit Defense Industry Forum, nearly twenty planned bilateral meetings with leaders, new Drone Deals, and other agreements with partners. We will continue to work on bolstering Ukraine’s air defense. New systems, missiles for them, and the issue of production licenses – all of this is our priority. We are grateful to everyone who is helping Ukraine with real steps.

Summary
Russia’s intensified missile and drone strikes on Kyiv, killing at least 22, highlight critical gaps in Ukraine’s air defenses amid urgent pleas for Patriot systems. The conflict’s economic and strategic toll is reshaping global perceptions, with debates over defense spending and Russia’s long-term viability as a threat gaining traction. Ukraine’s counteroffensives and long-range strikes into Russia suggest a potential turning point, though sustained Western support remains pivotal.
Key Stories
Deadly Russian strikes expose Ukraine’s air defense vulnerabilities — Russia’s latest missile and drone attacks on Kyiv killed 22 people, revealing significant weaknesses in Ukraine’s air defense networks as Kyiv urgently requests additional Patriot systems from Western allies. The assault underscores Russia’s strategy to exploit gaps in Ukraine’s defenses.
Ukraine’s counteroffensives challenge Russia’s advance — Reports indicate Ukraine’s military operations have stalled Russia’s progress, with claims of 40,000 Russian troops killed in June alone. Long-range strikes targeting Russian territory signal Ukraine’s growing capacity to disrupt supply lines and morale.
Global debates intensify over defense spending and Russia’s threat — Western policymakers are divided over whether defense investments are a drain on economies or a necessary driver of growth, particularly as Russia’s economic struggles fuel questions about its long-term threat. The war’s protracted nature is forcing a reassessment of military and financial commitments.
Western aid and sanctions remain critical to Ukraine’s resistance — International sanctions and military aid continue to play a decisive role in Ukraine’s ability to counter Russian aggression. The conflict’s trajectory may hinge on sustained Western support, despite growing fatigue and competing global priorities.
‼️🇺🇦🇺🇲🇩🇪 Washington and its European allies are preparing to launch a massive, combined industrial engine to flood Ukraine with interceptors and permanently lock down the skies against Russian terror.
The United States is in advanced negotiations with Germany and other key European nations to establish joint production lines for AIM-120 AMRAAM anti-aircraft missiles and PAC-3 Patriot missile defense interceptors, according to Reuters. These high-end munitions form the absolute backbone of Ukraine’s air defense shield, working tirelessly to swat down Russian cruise, ballistic, and hypersonic threats. The alliance plans to cement this major industrial pact by signing an official declaration of intent at the highly anticipated NATO summit in Ankara.
This is a massive, long-term strategic blow to the Kremlin’s air campaign. By shifting from simply donating existing stockpiles to building a massive, localized transatlantic manufacturing pipeline, the West is ensuring Ukraine will never run out of the vital teeth needed to chew through Russian missile waves, guaranteeing the long-term survival of Ukrainian cities and infrastructure.

JUST IN: 🇷🇺🇺🇦 PUTIN’S PRIZED S-400 AIR DEFENSES HIT AGAIN
Ukraine has destroyed two Russian S-400 missile launchers in Russia’s Bryansk region using its RAM-2X strike drone.
The S-400 is among Russia’s most advanced long range air defense systems, making the destruction of two launchers a significant battlefield loss.
💥 Another major setback for Moscow’s air defense network.

Treasury sees defence as a drain not a driver for growth, says Healey. If the weapons are never to be used then the Treasury will be proved right. Russia is losing the war in Ukraine. Their economy is screwed Are they a threat? bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c621…

Zelensky says the war’s decisive phase has shifted to the skies — and 1,000 drones over Moscow could change Putin’s calculus.
He called for more Patriot systems, licensed production in Ukraine and sustained deep strikes inside Russia.

‼️🇺🇦🇷🇺 Zelensky just drew a massive, bloody target directly over Russia’s elite nerve centers, warning Putin that a storm of thousands of drones is about to shatter the illusion of safety in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
In a fierce, uncompromising statement, the Ukrainian President announced a dramatic escalation of deep-theater strikes, promising to bring the full horror of the war directly to the doorsteps of Russia’s ruling class. Zelensky made it clear that as long as Ukrainian strikes avoided Russia’s twin capitals, Putin felt insulated from his own aggression. However, the strategy is shifting completely: Ukraine intends to rain over a thousand drones down on Moscow and St. Petersburg to force the Kremlin and its trembling elites to face reality, panic for their lives, and run for cover beyond the Ural Mountains.
This is the ultimate psychological and strategic masterstroke to break the back of the Russian occupation. By turning Russia’s most affluent, decision-making capitals into active war zones, Ukraine is stripping Putin of his domestic stability and hitting the elites exactly where they sleep. When the very people funding and ordering the slaughter of Ukrainians find themselves hiding in bomb shelters, the pressure on the Kremlin will become completely unsustainable—making Putin’s retreat from Moscow the literal gateway to a Ukrainian victory.
