Sweden just hit Russia’s shadow fleet — and hit hard.   Ukraine has taken control of a confiscated Russian shadow‑fleet vessel after Sweden’s Supreme Court ruled the ship will be transferred to Ukraine. Not seized. Not frozen. Transferred.   That’s the kind of move that makes Moscow furious and yes, they are.
The ship was intercepted by Swedish border authorities in the Baltic Sea on March 6. Now it becomes Ukrainian property, marking a legal precedent that directly targets Russia’s sanctions‑evading maritime network.
And let’s be honest: Sweden was on the ball this time.   Fast decision, clear message, zero illusions. Europe isn’t just blocking shadow‑fleet vessels anymore it’s redirecting them to the country Russia is trying to destroy.
