Tbilisi Mayor and Georgian Dream Secretary General Kakha Kaladze has said there is “nothing wrong” with President Mikheil Kavelashvili traveling to Iran for the funeral of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
“What is wrong with that? He is going to a funeral, just like the leaders of other countries — Turkey, Azerbaijan, Armenia and others. There is nothing wrong with it,” Kaladze said.
He also reiterated the Georgian Dream government’s claim that it is ready to reset relations with the United States, blaming the previous US administration for damaging bilateral ties through what he called false statements, unfair decisions and an unjust attitude toward Georgia
