Multiple surface combatants, landing ships, missiles corvette and support vessels are active at Baltiysk naval base. High level of inspection was done by Presidential Aide Nikolai Patrushev and planned future exercises. Due to NATO activities in the region especially around Kaliningrad, Russian Baltic navy fleet is expected to launch live aviation and naval-fire drills in the future.
