His planned trip to the US offers a clean slate if he uses it wisely. Delivering those kinds of concrete wins would prove that he is still dedicated to the nation’s survival above all else.
The alternative path, however, would be complete self-sabotage. If he uses his US trip to go on podcasts to parrot talking points calling for elections in Kyiv, he will become a useful idiot for Ukraine’s enemies and directly undermine his own country. Doing that would instantly destroy seven years of hard work and permanently close the door on his political future back home.
It is not too late for Fedorov to choose the right side of history. He still possesses immense talent that Ukraine needs, but redemption requires him to work for the country rather than his own timeline. What he does in America will show everyone who he truly is
