🇺🇦 Ukraine’s former defence minister called for wartime elections and pretty much lost his own protesters.

Mykhailo Fedorov had thousands of people protesting after Zelenskiy suddenly fired him last month.

But then Fedorov decided to turn the pressure up and called for elections while Ukraine is still at war.

That apparently wasn’t what his supporters signed up for.

One protester basically said: we came here to get you your job back, not to hold elections.

And Ukrainians seem pretty clear on this. A recent poll found 57% want elections only after the fighting ends.

By yesterday, parliament had approved Fedorov’s replacement and the protests that once had thousands of people were down to just a few dozen.

He had people fighting to get him back in government. Probably should’ve stopped there.
