BREAKING | 🇵🇱🇺🇸🇪🇺‼️‼️ Poland says urgent new measures are now required to strengthen NATO security, as Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz’s planned Wednesday visit to the Pentagon has been postponed at the urgent request of the U.S. side.
According to Poland’s Defense Ministry, the decision follows signals received from Washington and consultations after the meeting of NATO chiefs of defence. Deputy Defense Ministers Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka and Paweł Zalewski will travel to Washington instead, where they will hold talks with U.S. counterparts and prepare new agreements on further defense cooperation. A new date for Kosiniak-Kamysz’s Pentagon visit is currently being arranged.
The unusually urgent language from Warsaw is significant. Poland is directly linking the change in plans to the need for additional steps to strengthen Allied security, suggesting that consultations between Washington, Warsaw and other NATO capitals are entering a more intensive phase as the alliance reassesses the security environment on its eastern flank.

🇺🇦 Ukraine’s last defense minister says he blocked extra Soviet caliber shells because the warehouses were already full.
Mykhailo Fedorov told Ukrainska Pravda he kept saying no to the General Staff on more 122mm and 152mm rounds.
His number was about 800,000 already sitting in storage.
He also pushed cheap armored pickups over heavy vehicles.
Zelensky dumped him in July after that clash with the generals.
People took cardboard signs into the street asking for him back.

Former Ukrainian Defense Minister Fedorov said he “constantly refused to purchase weapons at the request of the General Staff,” including additional 122mm and 152mm artillery shells.
He said the reason was that around 800,000 shells were already in storage, questioning why more needed to be purchased.
Fedorov added that he also opposed buying heavy armored vehicles, arguing instead for purchasing pickup trucks and armoring them.
