U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the completion of its third consecutive night of strikes last night against Iranian military targets, continuing operations aimed at degrading Tehran’s ability to threaten commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
During the approximately five-hour operation, U.S. forces struck military targets in Bushehr, Chabahar, Jask, Konarak, Abu Musa Island, and Bandar Abbas, focusing on coastal defense systems, missile and drone infrastructure, naval assets, and maritime support capabilities.
The latest strikes come amid continued Iranian attacks on commercial shipping, Tehran’s declaration that the Strait of Hormuz is closed, and ahead of the reinstatement of the U.S. naval blockade of Iran, which is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m. ET on July 14. The campaign reflects an increasingly sustained U.S. effort to reduce Iran’s ability to disrupt one of the world’s most strategically important maritime chokepoints.

UPDATE :🇨🇳🛢️📉
China quietly slashed oil purchases by nearly a third — and somehow that’s the only thing stopping crude from hitting $150 a barrel right now.
The world’s biggest importer isn’t buying. The market is waiting. Which way does China move next? 🌍

France will license Ukraine to manufacture Aster missiles and deliver Rafale jets from 2028.
The Aster license is the key announcement: it allows Ukraine to produce interceptors for the SAMP/T system it already operates

❗️Russia has withdrawn a significant portion of its air defense systems that protected the shipyards building nuclear submarines in Severodvinsk.
According to Barents Observer, citing analysis of satellite imagery from 2024–2026, at least two dozen S-300 and S-400 air defense systems have left two key defensive positions in the north of the country due to a shortage of missiles and the need to strengthen air defenses in other regions.

🇺🇦🇷🇺 Zelensky’s pissed after Russia’s massive air assault overnight:
“Last night, the Russians launched 135 drones and 10 missiles of various types, most of them ballistic, against our cities and communities.
There must be greater pressure on Russia. We cannot mark time, and the EU’s 21st sanctions package should be adopted this week. Every day of delay in sanctions decisions gives Russia more time to prepare for them.
Every component: chips, microchips, dual-use goods, everything Russia uses to prolong the war and attack people must be stopped.
And our agreements with partners on European anti-ballistic capabilities are something that can truly enhance the security of our people.
We must move forward together. Every company and every country must be a true defender of life.
Our combined capabilities are sufficient, and together we can build reliable protection for Ukraine and all of Europe. Thank you to everyone who is helping.”
