🇷🇺🇺🇦🇹🇷 Can Putin make a comeback in his war with Ukraine?
Everyone’s eyes are on the NATO summit in Ankara, but Moscow is quietly weighing its next moves
His war is dragging into year 5, hammering Russia’s economy, burning reserves, and forcing him to import gasoline because Ukrainian drones keep hitting refineries.
Moscow’s advances on the front are crawling, and even their own claims of big wins (like taking towns they haven’t) look like desperate spin.
On one hand Putin looks weak needing North Korea and Iran for help, turning into a junior partner to China.
On the other, Russia’s factories are churning out weapons and the public is fed constant propaganda.
The big question: Will he lash out and test NATO directly, maybe with hybrid attacks on Europe, to distract from the mess in Ukraine?
Or keep grinding a war he’s not winning?
Analysts say he’s unlikely to go full nuclear or start something he can’t finish, but the risk of miscalculation is real while he’s backed into a corner.
