🇺🇸🇮🇷 The Iran war is burning through U.S. missile stocks faster than defense contractors can replace them.
Trump is headlining a defense technology summit at the U.S. Army War College as supplies of Tomahawks, Patriots, and THAAD interceptors continue to shrink.
Contractors will need at least 3 years to replenish those stockpiles, raising concerns about how much firepower would be available in a future conflict with China.
The summit brings together top military officials, defense CEOs, major investors, Palantir, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, JPMorgan, and Blackstone.
Trump is pushing a $1.5 trillion defense budget for 2027, but the proposal remains stalled in Congress, and expanding production would still take years.
The Pentagon can spend more money but it cannot manufacture more time.
