The court found that the ship’s seizure by Swedish authorities was lawful, clearing the way for the vessel to be handed over as part of Ukraine’s ongoing investigation into alleged Russian war crimes.

Ukraine argues that the ship was involved in the appropriation and transportation of property taken from Russian-occupied Ukrainian territories, making it potential evidence in criminal proceedings related to the occupation.
