BIG | 🇷🇺🇮🇷‼️‼️ Russia has secretly helped Iran advance supersonic cruise-missile technology, according to a Financial Times investigation, deepening military cooperation between Moscow and Tehran in one of the most sensitive areas of modern weapons development.

The program, reportedly operating under the codename C430L, began in 2023 and involved Russia’s state arms exporter Rosoboronexport and missile manufacturer NPO Mashinostroyenia. Russian specialists allegedly analyzed Iranian flight-test data and provided technical assistance on ramjet propulsion, including fuel systems, combustion stability, air intakes and engine nozzles. Missile expert Fabian Hinz described the cooperation as a transfer of highly sensitive strategic technology that Tehran had sought for decades. Iran has already built and flight-tested a ramjet system, although there is currently no evidence that a Russian-assisted supersonic cruise missile has entered operational service.

The strategic significance is substantial. Ramjet technology could eventually give Iran faster and more difficult-to-intercept strike weapons, while Russia gains another partner capable of complicating U.S. and allied air-defense planning across the Middle East. Even without an operational missile yet, the transfer itself shows that Moscow is willing to trade advanced military know-how for a deeper strategic partnership with Tehran.
