Now he is effectively shut off from the world and can talk only to his native BND. His former boss Gerhard Schroeder looks unconcerned about this, and, to the contrary, rather happy in his meeting with Putin: was this his birthday present?
It looks like the “STATE SUPPORT” for the Hamburg Cell, of which Hanning frequently spoke out, went directly from Gerhard Schroeder through his own channels, via the local Hamburg politicians, bypassing Hanning; otherwise Hanning would not speak about it so readily, risking to implicate himself and Germany.
The aim of this support was to help the future hijackers in their adaptation to the life in the western society, so they could fit seamlessly and unsuspiciously into the life in the US, while attending the pilots schools. At the same time, they were “egged on” and WEAPONIZED.
