🇺🇸🇮🇷🇷🇺⚠️ U.S. intelligence believes the six-month war with Iran may be creating a dangerous new opening for Moscow, with the Kremlin reportedly viewing America as militarily weakened and potentially more vulnerable to Russian escalation against U.S. interests and allies in Europe.
According to The Washington Post, a classified CIA assessment preceding Director John Ratcliffe’s secret visit to Moscow concluded that the Kremlin sees the United States as weakened by the prolonged Iran campaign and may view the situation as an opportunity to increase pressure in Europe. The assessment comes amid serious concerns over depleted U.S. weapons inventories, particularly Patriot air-defense interceptors, Tomahawk cruise missiles and other key munitions heavily consumed during the Iran war. Ratcliffe subsequently warned Russian officials against significantly escalating the war in Ukraine, arguing that such a move could backfire by pushing Donald Trump closer toward Volodymyr Zelensky and stronger support for Kyiv.
