Putin really has planned an attack on Europe, and NATO should therefore plan to eliminate him. Taking Königsberg back would be great, but Putin must fear for his own life, not for the fate of Kaliningrad, which he does not care about.
The Kremlin needs an unmistakable warning: if Russia attacks NATO, its political and military leadership will face devastating consequences, and Russia will pay an unbearable price.
That is the kind of deterrence needed to prevent a looming catastrophe. When decisive action was needed in Ukraine, the West hesitated. Now that the threat is predictably moving toward the West itself, it is time to show the resolve that was missing four years ago.

🚨 PENTAGON PREPARES 4 OPTIONS FOR U.S. TROOPS IN EUROPE
The Pentagon is preparing at least four options for the future size and deployment of roughly 80,000 U.S. troops stationed across Europe.
The six-month review will examine troop levels, bases, costs, military repositioning and NATO allies’ willingness to provide access and overflight rights.
Recommendations are due to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth by November 6. No troop withdrawal has been predetermined.

Russia-NATO Friction: … – AI Mode
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova warned that Moscow could strike British military targets both inside and outside Ukraine if Kyiv continues using UK-supplied long-range weapons to strike Russian territory. This direct escalation threat on follows the UK government’s decision to grant Ukraine access to classified technology to launch its own domestic production of Storm Shadow cruise missiles. Concurrently, reports revealed that CIA Director John Ratcliffe made a secretive, unannounced trip to Moscow earlier in the week to explicitly warn the Kremlin against launching any military or cyber attacks against NATO member states, particularly on the alliance’s eastern flank. Secretive CIA Mission: CIA Director John Ratcliffe spent eight hours in the Russian capital meeting with special intelligence services. While Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov confirmed the high-level intelligence contacts occurred, he noted that President Vladimir Putin did not meet directly with Ratcliffe. [6, 7, 8]
NATO Defense and Intelligence Signals: The CIA chief’s warning was prompted by a recent U.S. intelligence assessment indicating Russia might test NATO’s resolve with localized border incursions or heavy cyber warfare targeting Baltic nations. Ratcliffe also leveraged the meeting to pressure Moscow into reducing its economic and military ties with Iran. [6, 7]
UK Defiance: A spokesperson for Britain’s Ministry of Defence responded to the explicit threats by stating that London stands “shoulder to shoulder” with Kyiv.
