Zelensky to Witkoff and Kushner:
«Today you performed even better than Patriot air defense systems for our citizens in the capital.
Thank you. Come more often, and our people will have the chance to live a little longer.»
❗️ While negotiations have been ongoing, there has not been a single air-raid alert in Kyiv for a long time.

Zelenskyy’s goals, the only possible ones for Ukraine’s survival, are at odds with Witkoff and Kushner’s goals. Those are for Russian oil and money to flow safely and for the shooting to stop just long enough for Trump to say he ended his 14th war.Anton Gerashchenko (@Gerashchenko_en)President Zelenskyy stressed the need for a just peace following the first round of talks with U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, emphasizing that Ukraine’s goal is not simply to end the war, but to secure a peace that will prevent Russia from invading Ukraine again.
Another round of talks lies ahead, with representatives from the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany taking part.
Steve Witkoff described the discussion as “substantive, focused, and important.”
According to Jared Kushner, President Trump wants not simply to end the war, but to create the conditions for lasting peace in Ukraine. He said that any future agreements must prevent another war and allow Ukraine to channel the strength and ingenuity it has demonstrated throughout the war into the country’s development.
