Yermak was Zelensky’s unelected right-hand man, Head of the Presidential Office from 2020 to 2025 — the real power behind the throne. He is accused of laundering $10.5 million through luxury estates in the Dynasty compound in Kozyn near Kyiv. The same Yermak, according to multiple accounts, convinced Zelensky a full-scale invasion would not happen. Forces were concentrated toward Donbas as if the main fight would be there. Other directions — the south and the approaches to Kyiv — were left more exposed. Those regions were among the first to fall. He concentrated power, consulted an astrologer on top appointments, and sat at the center of the circle now drowning in the Energoatom scandal.
