‼️🇺🇸🇷🇺 US President Trump has signed into law the Lindsey Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act.
This allows for the imposition of sanctions against Russia’s oil & gas industry, and its customers (China and India). But this is doomed to backfire, just as the Iran conflict has.

In 72 hours, 9 European leaders spoke about the same thing: #Russia’s hybrid pressure on #Europe, and whether a strike dressed up as an accident would still test #NATO’s Article 5.
– What does the timing suggest?
– This was not a month of scattered comments. It was a three-day burst after specific incidents, with most capitals repeating the same warning and one ally breaking ranks. Here’s what they said:
– 🇩🇰 (15 Sept): #Denmark‘s PM Mette Frederiksen called a Russian frigate firing flares at a Danish helicopter part of an intensifying hybrid campaign meant “to intimidate and divide,” and said Europe’s answer was tighter unity and stronger defense.
– 🇪🇺 (15 Sept): #EU‘s Ursula von der Leyen said incidents over Lithuania, Denmark and Poland were “not isolated” but “part of a broader pattern of Russian aggression and provocation against Europe” testing readiness and resolve.
– 🇵🇱 (17 Sept): #Poland‘s PM Donald Tusk said intelligence showed Russia planning “accidental” drone or missile strikes on NATO countries supporting #Ukraine to paralyze the alliance’s response.
– 🇫🇮 (17 Sept): #Finland‘s President Alexander Stubb said Finns should mentally prepare for sabotage and Russian drones.
– 🇸🇰 (17 Sept): #Slovakia‘s PM Robert Fico said he did not want Slovakia drawn into a war “because of some Article 5” and would do everything to keep the country out of a military conflict.
– 🇫🇷 (18 Sept): #France‘s President Emmanuel Macron said the Russian hybrid threat against Europe and France had intensified and that the intent was to intimidate support for Ukraine.
– 🇳🇱 (18 Sept): The #Netherland‘s PM Rob Jetten said Tusk’s warning was no coincidence and had to be taken very seriously, with action if necessary.
– 🇨🇭 (18 Sept): #Switzerland‘s Federal Council named Russia’s war and hybrid campaign the greatest threat to European security and warned Swiss neutrality could come under pressure.
– 🇱🇹 (18 Sept): #Lithuania‘s MFA Kęstutis Budrys said Vilnius shared Tusk’s intelligence and that the public warnings were a coordinated signal not to test Article 5.– So what? My two cents:
– These statements read less like separate reactions and more like a coordinated public signal with one dissenting note, Slovakia.
– It is Europe saying out loud what it has been whispering: the grey zone is the battlefield, and “we didn’t mean to” will not be accepted as an alibi.
– Fico made the real fear visible. If a drone or missile hits NATO soil and Moscow calls it an accident, does Article 5 still mean anything? Most of these leaders answered yes. One answered: not with Slovak troops.
– That remark is the fear the others are trying to pre-empt: that a grey-zone hit would split the alliance. That split is the prize Moscow is hunting.
– Putting unity and Article 5 language on the record at the same time is an attempt to close that gap before a test comes.
– What the cluster of statements does not mean is that a conventional attack is known to be imminent.
– NATO still says that remains unlikely.
– What they are predicting is a test—close, deniable, and designed to see who flinches. These statements are an attempt to answer before the test arrives: we see it, we will name it, and hesitation will be public.
– Bottom line, Europe has drawn a verbal red line. The problem with red lines is that if they are not enforced, they stop being lines and become invitations.
– The real test is whether NATO holds it the first time Moscow calls a hit on allied territory an accident.— @Shtuni Sep 18, 2026

Ex-CIA station chief Wiswesser: In the Cold War the KGB knew its red lines, like never target a CIA officer. That one is gone.
In the anomalous health incidents I believe they targeted our officers with directed-energy weapons. Nothing restrains Russia’s services now. 1/

“With its aeroplane wings and tail-mounted jet engine, Russia’s newest drone looks like a cruise missile.
“The Geran-5 can fly faster and inflict greater destruction on Ukraine – with less chance of being shot down – than any previous drone in Vladimir Putin’s arsenal.
“Now its menacing silhouette poses an increasing threat to Nato,” writes David Blair
