Poland won’t lift its ban on Ukrainian farm imports, even with the new EU-Ukraine trade deal on the horizon.
Deputy Agriculture Minister Adam Nowak announced the stance in Brussels, claiming lifting the embargo unilaterally would deal a blow to the Polish food market and bring losses for consumers, Polskie Radio reported. The agreement takes effect in November and, in theory, should erase all unilateral restrictions—yet Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary keep their own bans.
